WHO WE ARE

FIAB Belluno APS is a non-profit association which is inspired by principles of solidarity, ecology and non-violence. It is associated with FIAB – Federazione Italiana Ambiente e Bicicletta – whose main purpose is to protect the environment, in particular by promoting the use of the bicycle, in order to improve mobility and the quality of urban life and to spread cycle-tourism, an environmentally friendly form of tourism.

Born in 1999, in 2023 it was officially registered in the list of Italian non-profit associations (RUNTS – Registro Nazionale del Terzo Settore). So far it counts on 270 members and dozens of volunteers.

Its aim is to spread the use of the bicycle, both for daily travel around the city and for leisure. In particular:

• we request and support a traffic calming policy and interventions in favour of cycle mobility
• We promote a cultural change that favours less polluting life models, especially in the transport sector.

WHAT WE DO

• We organize non-competitive, tourist group cycle-trips
• We organize meetings, presentations, round tables etc. to promote the use of the bicycle as an alternative to the car for daily commute and tourism
• We cooperate with public institutions, interested associations, technicians and experts in the sector to make the roads safer and spread the use of the bicycle as a means of daily transport and tourism.
