Discover the charm of the Val Belluna Ring cycling through Feltre during the Palio: a unique opportunity to combine cycle tourism, events and tradition.
2 and 3 August are ideal days to discover the city of Feltre by bicycle, cycling along the Anello della Val Belluna. Feltre is once again experiencing one of the most awaited moments of the summer: the Palio, a historical re-enactment that enlivens the streets of the city centre with costume parades, competitions between neighbourhoods and a unique medieval atmosphere.
On Saturday 2 August, starting at 3 p.m., the medieval market opens with street performances in the historic citadel. At 8 p.m., there will be historical parades and shows in the centre, with archery competitions and a medieval relay race.
On Sunday 3 August at 3.30 p.m., there will be a historical parade from Campo Giorgio to the centre and, at 5 p.m., a tug-of-war competition and horse race – Palio – in Prà del Moro, with the announcement of the winner and the presentation of the Feltre municipal banner.
For cycling enthusiasts, we recommend “La Gravelada del Palio” on Saturday 2 August, a long-distance cycle tour open to all: gravel, MTB and e-bikes – not suitable for road bikes- Meeting point and departure at Prà del Moro, between 7.30 and 9.30 a.m. No stopwatches, no rankings: La Gravelada is an invitation to enjoy cycling at your own pace and in your own spirit. A way to explore and be surprised.
The event “Cinzia, Graziella e le altre” (Cinzia, Graziella and the others) returns on Sunday 3 August, an informal gathering of folding bikes in Prà del Moro from 10:00 a.m., with a gentle ride to the outskirts of Feltre, a meeting between enthusiasts and the possibility of a group lunch. A light-hearted day of meetings, stories and cycling in company, among those who love these bikes and those who are rediscovering them with wonder.
